Xiachen Zhou is a NYC based costume designer and enjoys her life as an artist, having been born and raised in Xi’an, China, a city with 5,000 years of history. Since childhood she has maintained a fascination with clothing; her first sewing project being a delicate embroidered handkerchief when she was 6.

After gaining some professional costuming experience in Shanghai, China. Xiachen came to United States for graduate school at the University of Connecticut. She has been the costume designer in some well-received productions, including indie film "persimmon night" and short film "Bitter Taste"," Petite Blanche" .She also designs at City College of New York, Gamut Theatre, Media Theatre.

Xiachen holds a BS degree in Science, and a BA in Art, from the East China University of Science and Technology and has received her MFA in Costume Design at University of Connecticut at 2014 under Professor Laura Crow.
